A NEW Snowboard Leash called ‘Board-Walker’ is the ultimate snowboard accessory.

The ‘all-in-one’ Snowboard Leash, Lead and Snowboard Carrier is a snowboard strap that attaches to the snowboard by means of ‘click-on’ buckles. The strap wraps around the leg to become a snowboard leash, unbuckles to become a snowboard lead with a loop handle, and finally, buckles to the back binding to become a shoulder strap.

Most boarders will, at some stage, need to get a snowboard leash. Not because they want to, or even want to wear one, but because in many resorts they are mandatory.

The ‘Board-Walker’ keeps the rider attached to the board. When the rider needs to detach themselves to walk, there is a danger that the board can run away. Not so much when walking on the flat, but if climbing up hill or off piste, it could definitely pose a problem for the rider and anyone downhill – should the board wander off…

Board-Walker as a Leash

As a snowboard leash, the ‘Board-Walker’ attaches by means of an orange ‘click-on’ buckle to the front binding, (this orange buckle incorporates a whistle which provides both a rescue and a safety/security function), and a black ‘click-on’ buckle around the leg between the front knee and top of the boot. This buckle is adjustable.

Board-Walker as a Lead

When unbuckled as a snowboard leash, the ‘Board-Walker’ offers a loop handle, which is long enough for the rider to keep control of the board at all times, and long to enough act as a snowboard lead so the board can be pulled along over the snow. Pulling the board over snow takes less effort than carrying it, saves wear and tear on gloves and jackets and makes the day easier.

When finished for the day, the black ‘click-on’ buckle attaches to the back binding buckle to become a shoulder strap, tote or snowboard carrier, allowing the rider to carry the board ‘hands-free’. The ‘Board-Walker’ can then either be left on the board ready for next time, or simply clicked off.

Orange ‘Click-on’ Buckle

The orange buckle attaches to the front binding and incorporates an emergency whistle, having both a rescue and safety/security function.
